Michelle Cooling - @Shell_Cooling3

I am the creator of this blog!  I work in Media and Digital Marketing at Cricket Tasmania and with the Hobart Hurricanes in the KFC T20 Big Bash League.  In 2013 I worked in England's North East with Durham County Cricket Club as Media and Digital Manager and had the chance to travel England with the Durham team as well as work with a county who hosted their First Ever Ashes Test Match (the craziest week of my working life!).  Prior to working with Cricket Tasmania I was lucky to get a start in the industry and get some experience working with Cricket Australia in their public affairs department. I am a mad sports fan and a state hockey player for Tasmania and love all things fitness. On the side I am studying my Cerificate 3 and 4 in Fitness to be a Group Trainer and a PT as a side career! Aside from watching cricket I love AFL and tennis and love the opportunities my career has taken me and am grateful for the places I have got to go and the people I have been able to meet as a result.  Some of these people are the girls who I have got together to share their experiences in this blog- I hope you enjoy reading about their experiences too!

Jodie Hawkins - @jodeshawko

Jodie is the current owner and operator of Communications company Active Communications and PR.  A keen sports fan like the rest of the girls, Jodie also takes care of Media for KFC T20 Big Bash League side the Sydney Sixers.  Jodie has a big interest in Rugby League which stems from previously working as Media and PR Manager at Sydney Roosters and in Events and Ticketing with the Paramatta Eels.  She has also been a previous Senior Account Manager at PR company Liquid Ideas and Marking Coordinator at Bridge Climb.

Jess Cook - @missjesscook

Jess has just started working as Corporate Partnerships with the Sydney Swans in the AFL.  I know Jess as she worked for many years in cricket and her job before moving to AFL was with the Melbourne Stars as Communications and Partnership Manager.  Jess has a lot of experience in Media Management and PR and in the past has worked at Twenty3 Sport + Entertainment , Cricket Victoria, Essendon Football Club and has also been Media Manager for some big cricket tournaments including the Champions League and Indian Premier League.

Sharn Best - @sharnbest12

Sharn is the current Events Coordinator at Port Adelaide Football Club. Prior to joining the staff at an AFL Club she worked in cricket with the Australian Cricketers Association in various roles.  Starting out as a trainee at the ACA she progressed to Administration Assistant and Admin Support Officer before becoming Events and Communications Coordinator there.  Despite working in the AFL, Sharn is still a complete cricket nuffy which you will see if you give her a follow on Twitter!

Jess Ivers - @jivebong

Jess, a social and digital media guru currently works in Social Media at Tennis Australia in Melbourne. Jess came to the tennis world with a Rugby League background having worked with some big clubs in Sydney.  She was the Digital Media Coordinator at the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs as well as at Manly Warringhah Sea Eagles.  She also has worked as a freelance reporter at Rugby League Week Magazine. Jess will no doubt provide some great insights into the Grand Slam of the Year- the Australian Open as it gets closer.

Megan Hustwaite - @meganhustwaite

Megan is an award-winning sports journalist who can be read in News Limited papers in Victoria and heard on 1116 SEN, Australia's only 24-hour sports radio station.
Growing up in the country she was consumed by footy in winter and cricket and summer and loves both, and everything in between, to this day.
Megan enjoys watching and covering sport from the international stage right down to grassroots.

Aubrey Hamlett - @aubreyhamlett

Aubrey is one of our younger contributors but already has some fantastic experience in the communications and media world.  She is currently the Communications Coordinator at Hockey Victoria and the Creator and Editor of My Interning Life, a fantastic blog for media interns to share their experiences as they vie  for a place in the industry.  She had a stint at Netball Australia and has interned with Essendon Football Club and Melbourne Storm.  Aubrey, a keen Geelong FC fan has also had work experience with Cosmopolitan Magazine and was a Victorian Promo and Sales Intern at Universal Music Australia.

Jayne Moore- @jmoe83

Jayne is another one of our cricket family who has sadly moved on to the AFL after recently scoring a job at the Collingwood Football club. She was previously the Events and Membership Manager at KFC T20 BBL team the Melbourne Stars. A proud Queenslander, Jayne also worked in cricket in Queensland with BBL team Brisbane Heat as Marketing Executive as well as working in Ticketing and Promotions at Queensland Cricket.  Prior to working in cricket Jayne was coaching support coordinator at Queensland Academy of Sport and Education Assistant at the Queensland Reds.
